Royce Laidler, M.A. CCC/SLP,  Executive Director of brainREconnect, Inc. and co-founder, has been a practicing speech language pathologist for 40 years with various hospitals in the St. Louis area.  She now resides in Brunswick, Georgia and is the Adult Outpatient Speech Language Pathologist for Southeast Georgia Health System with a case load comprising of adults who have suffered stroke, brain impairment, voice, swallowing, and cognitive disorders.  She and her husband of 23 years, Graham Laidler, a practicing physical therapist, are the parents of five children and grandparents of one.  Three of their five children have special needs which has greatly impacted her empathy and support for her patients.  

Rhonda Hand has been a Volunteer Assistant Director with brainReconnect, as well as co-founder, since its inception in 2014.  Her personal experience of living with her Significant Other, a Stroke Survivor with Aphasia since 2007, Tarvin Rhodes, remains her impetus for working to garner support and talent from the community to make brainREconnect, Inc. a valuable resource for Stroke and Brain Impairment Survivors in Glynn and the surrounding counties.

Mitzi Gregg is currently the Accounting Manager at Frederica Academy, a college preparatory school on Saint Simons Island.  She is the mother of two adult sons, Aaron and Brian. She is married to George, a 5 year stroke survivor with aphasia and right side paralysis. With her experience of living with a stroke survivor, she feels both honored and inspired to serve with this dedicated group to support those with brain impairment in our community through brainREconnect.     

Peggy Wallace is currently the Disclosure Specialist for the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC).  Prior to moving to this area, she and her family lived in Germany (U.S. Army) for 10 years with their two sons, Nic and Jake.  In 2006, her husband, Jeff, suffered a debilitating stroke which left him with right side paralysis and aphasia.  After joining the local Stroke Support Group, now referred to as brainREconnect, Inc., it became a passion of hers to support this group of inspiring men, women and children who desperately need a place to go for friendship, encouragement and valuable information.

Darci Riggs is currently an occupational therapist with Intrepid USA Healthcare , Inc. She has been practicing OT for 37 years to include 11 1/2 yrs in the U.S.Army and the remaining years in home health care. She became involved with brainReconnect after her husband became a stroke survivor in 2015 and they began receiving outstanding support.
